A group of Scouts took it upon themselves to clean up and repair Hosie's Well on the way up to Mither Tap. The Scouts involved were Leslie Adam, Colin Pirie, James Morgan and Michael Tevendale with leaders Bill Shand, Sandy Ewen, Ian Dow and Bob Low.
Tom Angus reports on a trip made by 47 pupils, 12 teachers and nine other adults to make a moonlight ascent of Craigshannoch, Oxencraig and the Mither Tap. This trip was a success.
A photo spread from the Inverurie Herald about a sponsored stretcher climb up Bennachie, in which £500 was made for the Make-A-Wish foundation, and Allyson Wallace, who was carried in the stretcher, was made a Bailie afterwards.
